I had a pretty successful giveaway on La Vie de Laurie this month in conjunction with the Ultimate Blog Party. I had mentioned that I’d like to do one here too in April, but I just can’t wait! Let the giveaway begin!
This time in addition to a Save the Ta-Tas t-shirt, I am also giving the lucky winner a Breast Cancer goodie bag filled with over $25 in free breast cancer related merchandise! I made Nikki a similar bag today, but the one I’m giving away for this contest will be even better. |
There were some wonderful posts from bloggers last time around, so I am looking forward to seeing what you all come up with this month. I am amazed, heartbroken and inspired by the stories of loss and survival. I hope that you will continue to share those with us. Our walk is going to mean so much more if we carry and tell others about your experiences during our 60 mile journey.

Would love this shirt for many reasons:
I am an 8 year survivor and a 9 year survivor.
My mother is a 37 year survivor and a 12 year survivor.
My mother’s sister had breast cancer twice and died from it 6 years ago.
My mother has a cousin who had it one time.
I have had 4 friends die from this cancer all before the age of 45.

“save the ta tas” shirt is SOOO dang cute. This is a cause that is important to me not just as a nurse but as a child of mother who suffered from this scary, terrible, life changing disease.

This is such an important message to instill in all women and sometimes the easiest way to do it is through humor. The teeshirt is perfect - the message is clear but in a fun and upbeat tone! I would wear this all the time - one of my dear friends is a breast cancer survivor and she is only 38 yrs old! There is life afterwards, early detection is key!

I am so excited! This is my first year to do the walk. My MIL was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in Nov. It has been a hard rode, but I am thankful for people like you who are fighting the cause.

I just turned 39 and my Dr. Is recomending a mamogram, I have never had one before, but I just didnt relize just how easy it is to have yourself check and be safe for your famliy…I will be doing self exams now that my Dr. taught me how…Thanks for the contest

I would love to win this. All the women in my family have had this and some of them even died.
I currently have 5 daughters, and I’m going to be 35 this year.
Luckily my doctor is going to start giving me mammograms this summer. It’s a great step, but I’d love to learn more!

I have never had breast cancer, thank goodness. I have had uterine and skin cancer, however. But, I have 3 friends who are breast cancer survivors and one who just discovered a lump. I proudly wore a pink bracelet for six months while one of my friends endured chemo.

I love the shirt. It is a great way to get people to stop and look and engage in conversation. We lost our beloved cousin, Maggie, to breast cancer, it was a long and agonizing battle with many ups and downs. If I won the basket I would share the contents with Maggie’s sisters (my cousins) so that we could spread the word throughout our many communities!

My mother is a breast cancer survivor and I would love to send this to her. We did not have a good relationship during that time and we just started up a relationship again. I wasn’t able to be with her during the time she went through all of this and I want her to know that it meant something to me that she had this done and I am aware of it and what she went through.
