Want to win a pink iPod Nano? I am jealous of this giveaway, and really want to keep it for myself. None-the-less, I’m offering it up here with the hope that I will get some great donations to our 3-day walk instead. If you simply comment on this post, you’ll get one entry. If you post about this contest with a link to both the contest and this blog you will get ten entries. If you make at least a $5 donation to Nikki’s walk, you will get fifty entries. That’s right, I said fifty entries! Our goal is to earn $6000 total for the Breast Cancer 3-Day, and we are 50% there. We need your help to make it all the way by November. |
Your odds of winning are pretty good with that considering the last few giveaways have only had a few hundred entries. Good Luck! You must let me know in the comments if you made a donation or leave the link if you wrote a blog post about us so that I can award you the extra entries. Hey Laurie and Nikki,
You girls are absolutely gorgeous and it’s awesome what you’re doing! I am currently a 19 yr. old a college student that hopes to work in the field of cancer prevention/treatment after graduating. In the past I have volunteered nearly 1,000 hours at my local cancer center and through a project I created for St. Jude Children’s Research hospital so I realize how helpful a donation can be. Unfortunately, I could not make a huge donation to you two since I am a student, but I did donate $5 to you two just now because I know every little bit helps! This is a WONderful cause! My mother had breast cancer (two times, once in each) and seeing all the pain and suffering she went through, this is a cause near and dear to my heart!
My advice to all women (and men) out there is to get screened and let’s pray for a cure for this disease in our lifetime.

I’m a cancer widow (hubby died of melanoma), remarried to a man who’s ex-wife passed away from cancer. It seems that we’ve come to this weird time in our lives when we’ve moved from supporting our sister friends when they wed or gave birth, to supporting them when they’re going through chemo or surgery. This is super cute and very cool way to promote Breast Cancer awareness. I would love to win one. I don’t have an IPOD, but everyone in my family does. You know how it happens Moms are always last on any list. I love that it is pink!

Great cause keep up the good work! I’m actually home healing from a lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy that I had done yesterday. Ladies, please get your mammograms that’s how mine was found. Good Luck on your walk. You can bet I’ll be doing it next year, God willing!

Wish I could donate, but since my house burnt to the ground, I’m paying out money for permits just to be allowed to clean up the mess! And there was no insurance since the hurricanes in Fl of ‘05. But I sure do miss my ipod and love pink.

I am a breast cancer survivor 95 years) and, of course, I thank you for your hard work in this great fundraiser! I just participated in our local Relay fo Life. That was only one day. (I did 15 miles.) And you’re going three days? Terrific! (You might want to invest in moleskin for blisters and “hot spots.” I wished I had done so.) Best of luck!
