You all know by now that I love Save the Ta-Tas for the witty and sassy t-shirts, hats, bags and other items. The Kelly Rooney Foundation was established to eradicate breast cancer in young women. Through cutting-edge research, comprehensive awareness campaigns, and education programs, the Foundation will focus intently on breast cancer prevention in young women and the unique challenges they face when diagnosed with breast cancer.

Kelly lost her 4 year battle with breast cancer in 2006. Her story is heartbreaking. She left behind a loving husband and five young children. This is one of the many reasons that it is so important to fnd a cure to this terrible disease. I never want to read another story about a mother’s life being cut short, and a family having to grow up without her.
