97 Days!

The 3-Day is going to be here before we know it. According to my online trainer, there are 14 weeks left. That’s just 97 days until the 2008 Dallas 3-Day event for those of you keeping track. It’s been hotter than hot around there this summer– we’ve gone over the 100 degree mark most days, and that really makes sticking to a training schedule hard. Just a tip for our fellow walkers– hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

Nikki and I are planning on posting up at Wal-Mart in Plano (when we can get a call back) to sell some rubber duckies. We asked Tom Thumb, but they no longer allow people to sit outside their store. We are also going to have a garage sale soon, in addition to a few other events. We really have to hurry to get Nikki to her goal by the online check in date. You can donate to her by clicking the links in our sidebar. We’ld really appreciate any extra help you could give us.

With my thyroid and PCOS isssues really bothering me, I have to admit that I have been searching for the Best Diet Pills to help me shed a few more pounds before the walk. I am sure that it would be easier on me if I was carrying less weight for 60 miles, don’t you? My husband and I have been working hard at the gym without much luck until recently. My doctor perscribed a new medication that has helped me lose the water weight which is really exciting because I am not puffy and bloated now.

How is everyone else doing while training for the event? I hope it is not nearly as hot where you are, and that you are getting in your miles. For all our fellow DFW walkers, we’ll see you in November!

    Laurie~

I totally thought of you today. We are getting our kitchen painted so we can’t get into our fridge. I went to 7/11 to get Brendon and I some cold drinks. I bought some 99 cent bottled water Called GIVE (clear bottle black label). Anyway, 50% of the net profit goes to breat cancer research. I saw it and read the side and instantly thought of you and all of the wonderful work you’ve been doing. I also bought a bunch of the water!

In a need for inspiration I googled 3day blogs and came across yours. I’ll be walking in the Seattle 3day in September. Chances are high we won’t be any where near 100 degrees…rain, maybe. This is my first 3Day and I can’t wait to do it. The support up to now has been tremendous and I know it just gets better. Keep up the good work, and know that someone from Washington will be thinking about you.

That’s cool, Stacey! I will have to look for some locally and blog about it. That sounds like awesome product that we can definitely get behind!
