PINKiTUDE

Sunday, September 21st, 2008
I’m a huge fan of Phantom of the Opera, so I was interested to see the star of the movie version, Emmy Rossum, was named the official spokesperson for a new line of Breast Cancer related clothes and accessories called PINKiTUDE. I really like the t-shirt she wears in the ad, but it doesn’t look like they are selling it on the website yet. There are a few items such as tank tops (but whoa $79!) and tote bags, as well as a $12 necklace in the shape of the pink pather’s paw.

Part of the proceeds for these items go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Purina Cat Chow

Sunday, September 21st, 2008

I don’t have any kitties, but my friend Stacey gave me the head’s up about this great program Purina Cat Chow is sponsoring. For everyone that completes the five question quiz about breast cancer, they will donate $1 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. You can also dedicate it to a friend or family member’s honor or memory. It’s easy to do and only takes a minute to earn money for a good cause! you even get a completion certificate you can print out and display.

Supporter Info!

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

We are very excited about the 3-Day coming up November 7-9! We know we have lots of supporters and people that made a donation to our walks and we thank you so much! If you are interested in coming down to Southfork Ranch or SMU to join us for opening and/or closing ceremonies or to one of the many Cheering Stations along the route during the 3-Day, you can find find the information on the SUPPORTER GUIDE information page.

One of my favorite things they are doing is allowing friends, family, and supporters to write us letters that will be delivered during the walk. You can write a letter now and it will get delievered to us during the 3-Day. Fun, right? Imagine how happy you will make us after we’ve walked 20+ miles one day one and two to arrive back to camp to open a letter of encouragement from you! I am sure it will really motivate us! Here’s the address:
