Looking for a good Lawyer?

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009
I’ve been lucky enough to not experience any personal injury, medical malpractice or serious car accidents. If you have not been quite as fortunate and need to find a good law firm in PA, check out MWSD Legal. Their law firm was established in 1994 and have been awarded the highest rating (AV) by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.

The good news is that they work on a contingency fee basis which means that if they do not recover money for you, you will owe no fee to their attorneys. Their lawyers have over 100 combined years of experience working cases like these, so you know that you have hired someone reliable

Cash 4 Gold

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Do you have any gold jewelry lying around that you just don’t wear anymore? I haven’t worn yellow gold since the late 80s. I prefer white gold or silver. Gold is just not my style, and I know a lot of people that feel exactly the same way. I am sentimental though, and if I received a piece of jewelry as a gift I would not be able to sell it… unless it was from an ex.

I have quite a few pieces that I wore as a teen that either broke or were damaged. I heard about cash 4 gold on Howard Stern many years ago, and I know I should send in for my very own Refiner’s Return Pak! I can’t get the theme song he sings out of my head now: Cash for gold is America’s #1 Gold Buyer and direct refiner of precious metals!

Basically Cash4Gold purchases second hand jewelry for refining. Prices are based solely on the weight and karat grade contained in the jewelry. All you do is send in your jewelry and they send you a check. It’s fast and easy. Check out their website for more information how how to get your own return pak so that you can start making money off your jewelry that you don’t wear anymore. You could even donate your proceeds to your favorite charity such as Susan G. Komen.

Who’s your Suzy?

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009
You may already know that Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation was founded by her sister Nancy, who promised that she would do everything she could to defeat breast cancer forever. Self Magazine is asking their readers, Who’s your Suzy? $9000 will be donated to the charity on behalf of the essay contest winners.

In honor of Nancy G. Brinker’s promise to her sister, Susan G. Komen, SELF magazine will conduct an online essay contest, Who’s Your Suzy?, to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s mission and spread breast cancer awareness. From September 15 through October 27, people can submit essays about someone in their life who has been affected by breast cancer and how that person has motivated them to make a difference in the fight. The winner will received a $5,000 donation to Komen in the name of their “Suzy” and a luxury vacation for four. Winners will be announced in a future issue of SELF. Visit www.whosyoursuzy.com for more information.

Hello Gorgeous!

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

I suffer from hypothyroidism, and along with it comes being chronically tired, weight gain and worst of all thinning hair. I remember being at the shower truck at the 3-Day the first morning. I was shampooing my hair and a big chunk fell out in my hands. It’s really tough. I used to have really thick, curly hair. It’s really difficult to adjust to how thin it is now, and I’m only in my early 30s. Going to the salon to get it done is not what it used to be. It seems like there are limited styles that I can choose from and I am too afraid to go with anything too short. I’m used to hiding behind my hair.

I found a website that sells a product called nioxin, that is supposed to help improve the appearance of thinning hair. I wouldn’t call my loss severe just yet, but I do use a lot of thickening products now to give my hair extra volume and appear more full and healthy. I like that NIOXIN has several different products and “systems” for different types of hair, from normal or thin to chemically treated. I am sure that it gives someone with thinning hair more confidence.

I was surprised how inexpensive these products are, and what a big selection there is. Specialty items usually cost an arm and a leg. Hello Gorgeous also has $4.95 flat rate shipping, so no matter how much you order you will get it all quickly and cheaply.
